K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014: Casting Crowns' Summer is Filled with Missions Trips and Youth Camps Before Fall 'Thrive' Tour (VIDEO INTERVIEW)
With five minutes until show time, Casting Crowns quickly stopped to chat with BreatheCast on the K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014's red carpet where they shared their excitement for the show and what they will be doing this summer.
Casting Crowns was nominated for "Best Group/Duo of the Year" and "Artist of the Year," which they won. Before the show we asked them about their chances of winning an award. "We will make room for one, we don't usually plan for it but we'll make room for it," said lead singer Mark Hall.
The band was then asked what their plans for the immediate future were to which Hall spoke about an intense busy traveling schedule this summer into the fall.
"Well the record just came out a few months ago, so we are going on the fall tour. We are going to be in South Africa this summer, hanging with our youth groups this summer as well, so we have youth camp and mission projects. It's going to be a fun summer," he said.

This year Casting Crowns released Thrive, and Hall released an accompanying book of the same name. BreatheCast previously reviewed the album, and found that Thrive beautifully paints a picture of the dialogue Christians need to have around others and with God. Read the album review here.
Recently Casting Crowns and Focus on the Family teamed up to release a new video for their uplifting song, "Broken Together," which in contradiction of today's culture, encourages married couples to stay together through the hard times.
Casting Crowns' new single "Broken Together" takes the viewer on a journey of a couple's marriage from when they first move in together, to their family life, fights, and disappointments all the way up until they are well in age and have survived life together.
Under the video description the group provides some advice for their fans.
"Marriage is tough. We bring a lot of fairytales to the picture when it comes to marriage. We bring them to the altar with us [thinking]: 'This is going to be perfect. We don't have to be apart. We can just wake up together every morning and no one is going to have morning breath. We're not going to have any problems.' And then the problems hit and you don't know where to file those into your picture. . ." the post said.
It went on to read, "The idea I'm trying to say is: 'Can you lay down who you thought I was and love the 'me' that is? Can we take this from where we are now and realize that I can't be that person?' Only God is going to be able to make this work and broken people can be broken together."
