Casting Crowns 'Thrive' Album and Book Launch Tomorrow, Band Announces Tour Dates
Multi-Platinum selling group Casting Crowns will start a brand new 40 city journey this spring in support of the band's most anticipated studio album, Thrive.
The group plans on debuting the album on January 28. The Thrive Tour will include Grammy Award winning worship leader Laura Story, and reigning GMA New Artist of the Year, for King & Country. The tour begins on Feb. 20 in Lexington, KY, and will go throughout the spring performing at major cities, including Orlando, Charlotte, Raleigh, Tampa, Minneapolis, Greenville, Houston, and Grand Rapids, to name a few of the stops.
Last year, Casting Crowns won several honors including three Grammy nominations, an RIAA 2x multi-Platinum certification, and multiple RIAA Gold certifications, with overall album sales exceeding eight million.
The Thrive Tour will comprise of some Casting Crowns' greatest hits as well as songs from the new album.
The songs on Thrive are the same tunes songwriter/ lead singer Mark Hall has been teaching his pupils at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in Atlanta, where he works as youth pastor.
The reason behind the tour is for these songs to inspire believers to learn more about Jesus Christ so that they are totally prepared to reach out and share their faith with other people. 50% of the songs on the Thrive are concentrated on "reaching out," while the other half of the album is dedicated to perseverance in the Christian faith.
Tickets for all tour dates are presented at the band's official website www.CastingCrowns.com. Additionally, special VIP add-on tickets are also available at most shows, and feature a pre-show Q&A with Casting Crowns and an autographed copy of the Thrive album.
The Thrive Tour is partnering with Christian humanitarian organization World Vision. More information is available at - www.worldvision.org. World Vision delivers aid to nearly 100 million people in approximately 100 countries by confronting the causes of poverty and inequality.
Casting Crowns has assisted to create over 70,000 child sponsorships for World Vision thus far.
