'Chicago Fire' Season 5 Episode 5 Spoilers, Preview: Casey And Severide Fighting Over Arson Case?

Things will get more complicated in "Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 5.

In the next episode of the fire-fighting hit drama series titled "I Held Her Hand," the rift between Lt. Matthew Casey and Lt. Kelly Severide heightens as Lt. Casey fails to save a woman from a burning house. Spoilers for the episode suggest that episode 5 will highlight the growing tension between the two, following their argument over the cause of the fire where Casey failed in his duty to rescue a woman trapped inside a house that was set on fire.

According to spoilers, Casey believes that the husband of the victim actually committed arson; however, Severide will oppose his theory and say that the husband could not have possibly killed his own wife. Their contradicting theories are the highlight of the promo video for the episode.

In the promo, Casey stands by his theory and says that he has proof to support his claim. The first few moments of the promo video shows a scene where a witness claims that it was the husband who actually killed the victim. The end of the clip shows an intense scene involving Casey and Severide, where the former challenges the latter to back up his theory.

The synopsis for episode 6 reveals that the argument between the two will not end in episode 5, since episode 6 titled "That Day" still follows Casey and Severide as they proceed with the investigation of the arson case.

"Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 5 airs Nov. 15, 10:00 p.m. on NBC.
