After a violent yet entertaining weekend Chris Brown is now traveling down the road to redemption. The R&B singer has pulled a Lindsay Lohan and checked himself into rehab in hopes of avoiding jail time for his recent assault charge this past weekend, which put a man in the hospital for a broken nose.

E! News reported that Brown checked himself in to gain focus back on his recent and past acts of violence. Browns reps had this to say,

"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

Another source close to Brown said that he was a "good kid" at heart, but "He needs help, he keeps self-medicating with weed and alcohol and that's when he always gets in trouble."

Brown's felony assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, but that doesn't change the fact that he violated his probation by getting into more trouble and ending up with another assault charge under his belt.

However, there is another twist to this story. Last week I told you guys Chris Brown dumped Karrueche over Twitter, well TMZ reported that Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos dropped him off at the treatment facility in Malibu and Karrueche was also there by Brown's side along with his mother.

I knew it would be only a matter of days before Brown needed Karrueche back by his side. Talk about needy. It's going to take Brown one good a** whoopin to let him know that he's not invincible and I'll be right here with the popcorn.
