Citizen Way Walk On Waves With New Single "WaveWalker" Releasing Today, Featuring Vocals By MercyMe's Bart Millard
Christian "Bulletproof"-band Citizen Way are stirring the airwaves today with their latest single "WaveWalker," featuring vocals by MercyMe frontman and singer-songwriter Bart Millard. After first being announced to fans on social media, the new single follows the band's previous fan and radio favorites, "Bulletproof," "Should've Been Me," "How Sweet The Sound" and "When I'm With You."
Citizen Way frontman Ben Calhoun explains the meaning behind "WaveWalker," saying, "This song is all about taking a step of faith and following Jesus wherever he leads. I know in my life, our life as a band, and our ministry, we have been through a lot. We also know what our world is going through. We also know that Jesus is the remedy, and that is what we are writing about."
In an announcement on Facebook earlier today, the band shared a short video of Corey Mann at Pulse FM being the first official radio station to air the song.
"Special super-duper thank you to Corey Mann at Pulse FM for doing what the song says-taking a step of faith to be the first official radio station to play it! South Bend, Ind. represent [thumbs up][cool]!!! Corey is the Mann!!!!" [sic]
Citizen Way is currently gearing up to hit the road with fellow artists Unspoken on the "Breakthrough Tour," presented by ChildFund International, which kicks off April 6 in Wolcott, Ind. and wraps in Mansfield, Ohio on April 29, with dates in between in Neb., Iowa, Mich., Ill., Md., Va., N.C., and Ky..
