'Civilization 6' Release Date News: Specs Upgrade Necessary For Optimum Game Experience?

The sixth installment of Sid Meier's "Civilization" is coming in a few days and a nicely curated video series recently offered a glimpse at the various leaders and mechanics of the new game.

"Civilization 6" promises a new gameplay that takes into account the environment and perfectly addresses mid-game bore. It also comes with new bells and whistles, making it somewhat taxing for computers. The latest environment is Russia, led by Peter the Great.

Before "Civilization 6" arrives, it is a must that players get their PCs ready and up to speed.

The video game works best in computers with an operating system of at least Windows 7 64 bit, though Windows 8.1 64 bit will also do. The game also works seamlessly on Windows 10 64 bit.

Players also need a minimum of Intel Core i3 2.4 GHz or AMD Phenom II 2.6 GHz for their processors. The most recommended processor is the fourth generation Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz or AMD FX8350 4.0 GHz, as greater capacities yield better yields.

For the RAM, 4GB is the minimum, but the most recommended is 8GB. Moreover, the video game requires a minimum of 12 GB of free space in the hard drive. A 1GB Direct X11 video card will do, such as an Nvidia 450 or AMD 5570. A DVD-ROM is also necessary for disk installation.

The new bells and whistles that come with the new version of the game include graphics upgrade. Also, the new game lets players generate maps more procedurally than before.

"Civilization 6" is set for release on October 21.
