'Civilization 6' Release Date: Trajan Leads Rome; Land Features Legion And Baths [WATCH]

Firaxis Games has released the first look at Rome in "Civilization 6," presenting its unique abilities and features.

Trajan rules Rome in "Civilization 6," as per the clip. He ruled the country at the peak of its territorial expansion, in addition to building several public projects. In addition, he is regarded as one of the land's best emperors.

Rome is linked to various roads in the map and as per the video, Roman cities begin with a trading post and new cities within the trade route range also begin with a road that leads to them. Gold is earned through passing through these trading post within the city.

Legion is Rome's very distinct unit. As per the clip, it is expensive, yet strong alternative for the Swordsman unit. Along with its military engineer function, it has the power to yield forts and roads. However, it has limitations when it comes to the number of roads it can build.

Rome also features the baths, which is its replacement to the Aqueducts. They produce amenities and more housing than the latter. Trajan's column is his special ability, in which all cities start with one free building in the cities' center and this would be a monument most of the time.

In terms of strategy, players would want to establish cities fast and then engineering and technology to exploit the baths. Then, fast expansion across the world comes next. Also, Rome's legion can defend the land from foreign threats, as per Game N Guide.

Developed by Firaxis Games, "Civilization VI" is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and PC on Oct. 21.
