Coldplay New Album 2015 News: Singer Chris Martin Confirms Seventh and Final Album

It's no surprise that Coldplay is one of the most popular bands in the world. The U.K. band has had six albums that have all been on the top of the Billboard charts at one point or another. On that note, their fans were very excited to hear that they are releasing a seventh album and will do a tour around it.

Unfortunately, it's not all good news as the new album will reportedly be Coldplay's final album.

The band came to fame when they released the song "Yellow" in 2000. They were an instant hit all over the U.K. and the world.

On Friday, lead singer Chris Martin, announced on BBC Radio that this will most likely be the band's last album. It is tentatively titled A Head Full of Dreams and this announcement comes as they were nominated for two more Grammys.

Martin compared this seventh album to the seventh book in the Harry Potter series. He says for the band, it is almost like their completion of something. He is excited that they will be doing a tour to follow along with the release of the album.

The band's sixth album titled Ghost Stories was released on May 16, 2014. It opened at the top of the Billboard Charts. The band is nominated for best pop vocal album and best pop duo/group performance.

Fans of the band are really upset about this news, but they are really looking forward to seeing the band on another tour. Martin has mentioned some solo projects as well, so we will see how this all pans out for Martin and Coldplay.
