Colton Dixon to Headline Winter Jam 2013-2014 and Release "A Messenger: Expanded Edition"

Colton Dixon may not have won American Idol Season 11, but that hasn't stopped him from being one of the fastest selling Christian artists in the industry.

From releasing his debut record A Messenger in January to now getting ready to headline Winter Jam 2013-2014 with Grammy-Award winning crossover artist LeCrea, Dixon has been on fire even though he says the last year has left him "hanging on for dear life."

The Idol alum started writing for his follow-up album during the summer and has even started recording in October.

Dixon recently sat down with CBN to talk about the last year of his life and what he hopes for this year's Winter Jam.

"It's one thing after another, but all great things. I'm so excited for Winter Jam. I'm really honored to be a part of that. I think it started in '06 and I've been to it pretty much every year ever since. It's just so great that you get quality music, but at the end of the night you hear the Gospel. You hear that testimony of hope, and encouragement. For me growing up I'm living testament of it. Listening to Christian music helped me so much. Winter Jam brings all of your favorite artists and bands to one place, so you get to get all of it in one night."

Dixon will be releasing A Messenger: Expanded Edition which will include 4 remixes of songs that will include "You Are" and "Never Gone" along with two bonus tracks that are only available on the rereleased edition.
