Comic-Con 2013 Reveals Future Batman and Superman Movie

This year's Comic-con has made history with the Warner Bros. announcement of an ultimate team-up involving legendary superhero's Superman and Batman.

Zach Snyder, director of the recent hit Man of Steel, announced Henry Cavill will be making a repeat performance as Superman with the role of Batman still to be determined.  Actor Christian Bale, who plays the role of the caped crusader in the Dark Knight series, does not seem interested in returning.  Bale has announced publicly that his days as the renowned Batman are over.

Snyder will be heading this sequel in the same fashion as his victory film Man of Steel, which grossed more than $630 million worldwideSnyder hinted the superheroes in Frank Miller's 1980 comic The Dark Knight Returns will set the tone for the film expected in 2015.

Christopher Nolan, director of The Dark Knight trilogy as well as producer for Man of Steel, will of course be assisting with production of this major undertaking.

A face off of the world's most recognized heroes will be Warner's next big move to follow The Avengers.

DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson made a statement saying:

"Superman and Batman together on the big screen is a dream come true for DC fans everywhere.  All of us at DC Entertainment could not be more excited for Zack's continuing vision for the DC Universe."

This film will be the first time these two illustrious idols will share spotlight on the big screen.  Although the script is still in the works, there is growing anticipation all fans share in hearing this breaking news.
