Director Ridley Scott has joined forces with Cormic McCarthy to bring the new action packed thriller "The Counselor". Featuring Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Brad Pitt, and Javier Bardem, this action movie follows a lawyer that gets into the wrong crowd as he begins to dabble in the drug trading business. The greedy lawyer, "The Counselor" goes too deep as he trades drugs without knowing the consequences. The movie starts as the lawyer and his naive girlfriend lie in bed and flirt as a package of cocaine is being shipped in a sewage truck. The Counselor than leaves to go to the sewage truck yard to pick up the shipment as his girlfriend believes he is away on business. Reiner and Malinka, a very dangerous couple, become close with the two as Reiner and 'The Counselor' talk over a possible drug deal. Little does the Counselor know, trouble is coming. 

"Rotten Tomatoes" stated in review about the new movie "The Counselor" that they raised the expectations with it's talented cast and creative crew- then subverts them with a wordy and clumsy suspense thriller that's mercilessly short on suspense or thrills. " So far, "The Counselor" is ranking at 35% out of 100% for the top movies this week. Peter Travers from "Rolling Stones" stated, "The Counselor [is] a droning meditation on capitalism in the form of a thriller about cocaine trading on the Tex-Mex border."
