Seth MacFarlane may have been able to get away with his controversial style of racist humor in "Family Guy," but it seems to be striking a nerve on FOX's new sitcom "Dads" that premiered on Tuesday night to mediocre reviews. The show got off to a rough start before it even aired the premiere episode due to criticism from Asian Americans who claimed the show stereotyped them in a negative manner.

The premiere pilot episode started to falter pretty much right off the bat when the characters began spouting off racial and offensive jokes. The problem was that the jokes just weren't funny and therefore made the "edginess" factor almost non-existent. The built in laugh track only made the show more irritating to watch. MacFarlane and friends were trying to follow on the coat tails of the loved "Family Guy" series but seemed to take the sexist humor a little too far.
