"Dallas Buyer's Club" Movie: Synopsis, Critic Review, and Ratings

 

   "Dallas Buyer's Club", the new 2013 movie drama that features many of Hollywood's famous actors/actresses opened in theatres on November 1st and has had much praise from fans and critis. The movie is about a son of Texas, Ron Woodroof (Matthew McConaghy), who's job title is an electirican and rodeo cowboy, that gets the horrifying diagnosis of being positive for H.I.V. Ron has been given 30-days to live with his condition but refuses to except defeat, nor death. He searches multiple treatments and medications in the U.S. that all have been un-approved, so he packs his things and heads to Mexico for a cure. As he arrives in Mexico , he finds alternative treatments and begins to smuggle them in the U.S. challenging the medical and scientific community. Ron finds a fellow AIDS patient, Rayon (Jared Leto) who shares his lust for life and the two form a "buyer's club". The club forms as a stop for H.I.V. positive people to pay monthly dues for access to the smuggled supplies from Mexico. In the heart of Texas, Ron finds himself battling diagnosis, diginity, education, and acceptance within the community and his peers. Within the following years after his diagnosis, Ron lives his life to the complete fullest and never looks back. 

  "Dallas Buyer's Club" has received a %95 rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 93% by viewers, all saying that the movie was excellent and a 'must see' for 2013. Rotten Tomatoe's stated, "Dallas Buyer's Club rests squarley on Matthew McConaughey's scarwny shoulders, and he carries the burden gracefully with what might be a career best performance". Calvin Wilson from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, stated the movie was "one of the best films of this year". The movie also features Jennifer Garner, Steve Zahn, and Dallas Roberts. "Dallas Buyer's Club" is rated 'R'  and has so far made $3 million in box-office. The trailer for "Dallas Buyer's Club" is below.
