The Dallas Mavericks (31-22) will face off against the Indiana Pacers (40-11) at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indiana on Wednesday night.

Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks look to return to winning ways tonight in Indiana, where the Pacers will attempt to end their powerful first half of the NBA season with their 26th win in 28 home games.

Dallas' 5 game winning streak ended with a whimper recently in their 114-89 blowout defeat versus the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night, and they lost their franchise player Nowitzki in the second quarter. The 12-time All-Star returned to the game after halftime and scored 14 points in the second half.

Nowitzki announced yesterday he would play tonight against the Mavericks. "(Tuesday) was definitely a step back," said Nowitzki to reporters on the official team's website. "You know, we've got to finish strong before the break now and hopefully have a good outing (in Indiana) against a very, very good team."

The Pacers had their most dominant win since 2003 as David West led the Pacers with 25 points in a 119-80 victory versus the Nuggets two nights ago.

"We played the game the right way," said West after the game to reporters. "We finished what we talked about doing, in terms of finishing around the rim and concentrating late in our shots. We didn't shoot the ball great from the 3-point line but our defense was engaged and in the right mode to get us some extra possessions."
