'Dance Moms' Season 7 Spoilers: Jojo Siwa's Absence In Competition; Show Will Continue With Or Without Abby Lee Miller?
Amidst cancellation rumors, it was confirmed that filming for "Dance Moms" season 7 is currently underway.
Rumors about the cancellation of the show stemmed from Abby Lee Miller's scheduled sentencing in November, as well as Jojo Siwa's absence in competitions. However, latest reports confirm that filming for the season is in full swing and that the show will go on with or without Abby Lee Miller.
Miller has been active in sharing spoilers for season 7 on her Instagram. For her latest update, she posted a video of the contestants during their performance at the Sheer Talent Competition in Fresno, California, where they performed "Good Help is Hard to Find."
In the teen category, the group performance placed first and was named as the overall champion. In the teen division, the jazz duet "Snap That" by Brynn Ashlee Rumfallo and Camryn Bridges placed first while Kendall Vertes and Kalani Hilliker's duet of "Tango Para Tres" came in second. In the junior division, Elliana Walmsley and Maesi Caes' acrobatic duet of "The Invaders" also ranked second.
Since Miller pleaded guilty to charges against her back in June, she could face imprisonment of up to 30 months and fines amounting to $5 million. Miller was charged of not reporting monetary transactions and hiding bankruptcy assets of the show.
As of this writing, it remains unclear what will happen to the show if Miller is put behind bars. Filming for the seven episodes of the upcoming season has reportedly been completed.
"Dance Moms" season 7 is expected to air in 2017. Currently, season 6 airs every Tuesday, 9:00 P.M. on Lifetime.
