Dancing With The Stars Season 17 Spoilers!

The 17^th season of the popular celebrity dancing competition series aired Monday night, on ABC. Fans of the show may have noticed a couple of modifications to the format of the competition.

Remember the "luxury box" from seasons past? That's now been converted to a "practice room" for contestants to go over any last second kinks in their routines. Also new to Season 17 is pre-recorded music. Contestants used to have to rely solely on the live band, but now contestants can use backing tracks as well.

Among the fan favorites this year, contestants Bill Nye the Science Guy, Amber Riley, Valerie Harper and "Snooki" were all sharp in last night's premiere, and jumped out to a quick lead.

- this duo chose a contemporary dance take on Lennon's classic "Imagine". They also earned a 24 score.
