'Dark Souls 3' DLC Release Date News Update: Trailer Is Action-Packed, Engaging [WATCH]
FromSoftware has released a gameplay clip for "Dark Souls III - Ashes of Ariandel" DLC.
The trailer opens with a warning, saying that it may contain spoilers about the upcoming game DLC. It is followed by an armored character, walking through a foggy locale. He starts to run and dodges from an attack. The character moves forward and sees his opponents. The battle begins, with the enemies doing multiple hits to the player's character. Fortunately, the hero manages to throw fireball to his enemy's head, kill it in the process.
Succeeding sequences lead to a huge beast, which resembles a Viking. The character has to fight it, but has to be careful because it also attacks with its axe. The locale also features some plants, which cradle large bugs. Thus, players have to be careful on their steps.
Overall, the gameplay trailer showcases quality visuals and effects that make it more dynamic and engaging.
According to Tom's Hardware, "Dark Souls III - Ashes of Ariandel" serves as first of the two DLC packs for the game. It is added that FromSoftware remains tightlipped about the release of the second game, although players can obtain a a season pass for $24.99. Players can also purchase each content independently, with "Ashes of Ariandel" at a price of $14.99.
Developed by FromSoftware, "Dark Souls III" was initially released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows on Mar. 24. "Ashes of Ariandel" is set to come out on Oct. 24.
