On the past few episodes of 'Days of Our Lives', Susan Banks has been making spontaneous visits to Salem which leads many to believe that there's an important reason behind it.

When she visited Salem, she said she returned because she had a premonition about her son and believes that EJ is in danger. Even though her appearance was short-lived, she surely left her mark on the town and the people in it.

On the Oct. 1 episode, she sent EJ a text saying, "My darling Elvis I cannot remain in Salem. The vampires will prevent me from defending you. I will help you even from far, far away. I love you my precious boy, promise me you'll be very careful. Evil still lurks."

Right now, fans are confused as to what she meant by "evil." However, there are speculations that say she means Clyde, Ben and Jordan's father, who was trying to connect with EJ for business reasons. But, EJ DiMera has been constantly shutting down Clyde's invitations for a partnership.

On the latest episode, Clyde told his henchman that he is going to take down EJ. "Handle him," Clyde said.

Meanwhile, other spoilers reveal that Clyde is not the only threat to EJ. There is Stefano and his little brother Chad who want him out of the picture.

Stefano is disappointed with EJ because he feels betrayed since EJ is "sleeping with the enemy," according to Dirty Laundry. With this, Stefano wants to remove him from DiMera Enterprises entirely.
