'Destiny 2' Release Date News, PC Rumors: Game Arriving On PC And It Is Not A Sequel

In line with Bungie's "Destiny 2," the game is set to come out to PC as a new game, as per reports.

According to NeoGAF forum member benny_a, "Destiny 2" is coming to PC. He also mentioned that a source who works at Activision told him that he had been an a plane and then a train and had seen a presentation on another person's laptop, adding that it was what was being internally communicated to the employees.

Along with details about "Destiny 2" coming to PC, jschreier said that Vicarious Visions was working on the game, adding that he did not know about raid matchmaking. As per the forum member, he expected the game to feel more like a new game than a sequel to "Destiny."

"What I heard is that the reason it was rebooted earlier this year (and is now helmed by GAF poster Luke Smith) is because the original version felt too much like an expansion," he said.

Jschreier also said that he was expecting them to change everything, but he did not think Bungie had opted yet what one would be able to bring over from year one or what one would get as a reward for being a long-term player.

"But I expect a fresh start," jschreier said.

With details revealing "Destiny 2" as a complete reboot and separate entity from "Destiny," it is assumed that the game will be more relatable to the both the existing and new player base.

High Moon is also working along with Vicarious Visions on the game, as per IGN.

"Destiny 2" is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation in 2017.
