The eighth and final season of "Dexter" began on June 30, 2013. The eight season starts with Batista becoming the new lieutenant after Deb left the force when she killed LaGuerta to keep Dexter's secret safe. Deb was spiraling out of control, but it was all a part of her cover as she was working for a private security company, where she tracked down fugitives who skipped town after making bail. Dexter, on the other hand isn't any better. Going off on Harrison, and choking people out on the freeway, he was in much of a slump himself.

We can expect the season to follow suit by introducing new characters that will get slaughtered and build more tension on Dexter's and Deb's relationship. One of the new serial killers featured will be a guy, who cuts open his victims heads and plays with their brains. Not really that gruesome because we have seen much worse in one Dexter season!
