'Divinity: Original Sin 2' Release Date & News: Game Features Master Mode And Gloomier Theme
In line with Larian Studios' "Divinity: Original Sin II," founder Swen Vinkie shared his thoughts about the juvenile phase of the forthcoming role-playing video game. Also, the game is set to have a change in tone, as per reports.
In a statement, as cited by Game Spot, Vincke said that he was pretty sure they would add some things on top of Act 1. He also said that there was a tutorial opening section that was missing, just before one arrived on the island.
Accoding to Vincke, players are set to see the Game Master mode in the game's Early Access, along with new skill trees, additional permutation on systems, and some surprises that he did not even know himself yet.
"New things that we're trying in the Arena mode also, because that seems to be picking up quite well," Vincke said. "We'll see what we do with that. That will probably take us close to release," the game founder added.
For Vincke, he did not want to spoil the game too much for people that were participating in Early Access; thus, they wanted to give them adequate content on release.
According to Game Rant, the game is set to have a change in tone. As per the publication, the game sequel is set to be gloomier, a transition from the first game's wacky humor and vibrant world. Some situations include surviving in a shipwreck and being trapped in a desolate island, which is a new approach to the themes of the game's predecessors.
Published by Larian Studios, "Divinity: Original Sin II" is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS in 2017.
