'Doctor Who' Season 8 12th Doctor Spoilers: 'It Was Time For the Show to Flip Around'
Hit show "Doctor Who" has cast Scottish actor Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor. Many viewers are wondering what the 12th Doctor will be like, and showrunner Steven Moffat has provided some answers for those viewers. He recently revealed some spoilers about the new doctor.
When speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, Moffat explained that the new doctor will be very different.
Moffat sat down for an interview with Doctor Who Magazine. In this interview he gave some spoilers about the 12th Doctor's personality.
"The last two Doctors have been 'your boyfriend' Doctors. It was time for the show to flip around. The new version of the show is quite old now. We're going to give Clara a Doctor who is a much older, fiercer, madder, less reliable Doctor who leads her a merry dance," Moffat said.
Peter Capaldi was cast as the newest doctor in late 2013.
"I haven't played Doctor Who since I was 9 on the playground," Capaldi told CNN. "Being asked to play the Doctor is an amazing privilege. Like the Doctor himself I find myself in a state of utter terror and delight. I can't wait to get started," he explained.
Stephen Moffat is quite pleased with Capaldi in the role of the Doctor.
"One of the most talented actors of his generation is about to play the best part on television," Moffat said, according to BBC News.
