Dog Finds Comfort in Church After Losing His Owner; Tommy Continues Daily Mass on His Own (VIDEO)
Seven-year-old, German Shepard dog, Tommy a finds comfort in going to church after losing his beloved owner who he would frequently accompany to the church.
A woman named Mauria adopted Tommy as a stray in Italy. According to CNN the two were very close and Tommy would accompany her when she ran errands and went to church.
Tommy's owner Mauria sadly died two month ago and Tommy reportedly showed up to the funeral without any one bringing him. His loyalty didn't end there the faithful pet is so devoted to his owner that every day when the church bells sound Tommy walks himself to mass.
According to the Cathedrals priest, Tommy has been to Mass every single day. Sitting quietly and peacefully in the very front of the church. No one in the congregation has a problem with the fervent commitment of the pup as they all feel that they too have now adopted Tommy. Parishioners have given Tommy, food, water and shelter.
According to dog expert Cesar Millan Dogs are pack animals. Dogs want to love and be loved. They want to be part of a pack, contribute to their pack, and protect their fellow pack members whether it's made up of dogs or humans, or pretty much any animal.
This remarkable story shows just that. Tommy's love for Mauria is truly a testament to the saying that dogs can truly be "man's best friend."
