Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singers Releases Dynamic New Single "He Heard My Cry (Feat. Sir The Baptist & Arnetta Murrill-Crooms)"
Acclaimed gospel artist Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers on Friday released their latest single, "He Heard My Cry." The dynamic new song creates an urgent call of deliverance driven by Lawrence and the featured voices of hip-hop lyricists Sir the Baptist, the chorus of The Tri-City Singers, and soloist Arnetta Murrill-Crooms, and is the second single from the upcoming reunion album from Lawrence and the original Tri-City Singers, celebrating their 25thAnniversary.
Co-produced by Lawrence and Sir the Baptist, "He Heard My Cry" is inspired by the tale of Moses and the Pharaoh that would not let the Israelites go, speaking metaphorically that everyone has a Pharaoh within them that can hold them back in reaching their greater purpose. Lawrence says, "The song says it's time to tell your Pharaoh God's eye is on the sparrow and he can't control you no more, 'He heard my cry.'"
Renowned for his stylistic talents which continue to shape the landscape of gospel today, the Grammy Award-winning, prolific choirmaster, songwriter, and producer will soon launch his new album with The Tri-City Singers which will also feature the single, "Goshen 432HZ (feat. Sheri Jones-Moffett)," which released at the end of April.
Lawrence is currently sharing his music on the road touring with the "McDonald's Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour," which will run all the way through October.
Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singer's "He Heard My Cry (feat. Sir the Baptist and Arnetta Murrill-Crooms)" can be streamed or purchased everywhere now, including Amazon.com, iTunes, and Spotify.
