Spoilers for the upcoming episode of "Dragon Ball Super" indicate the possible death of Son Goku as he gets assassinated by Hit, the infamous assassin from Universe 6.

While some "Dragon Ball Super" fans are excited to know what is in store for the series as it moves forward to a new story arc, some still could not believe that the creators of the anime would allow the main protagonist of the series to be killed off just like that. However, speculations are still rife that Hit will be hired by someone to end the life of Goku.

Based on spoilers, Gohan, Goten and Piccolo will all get to witness the death of Goku. His death will then lead the rest of the characters to conduct an investigation on his death. Gohan is also rumored to seek revenge on the person who ordered Hit to assassinate Goku.

Meanwhile, some reports claim that Goku will not yet die in episode 71 since the leaked title of the upcoming episode indicates that the battle between him and Hit will still continue.

The leaked title for episode 72 is "Counter-Attack? An Invisible Assassination Skill." Some fans believe that in this episode, the main protagonist will still have the chance to fight back after almost losing to Hit. There are speculations that as Goku retaliates, hit will have a hard time fulfilling his mission to kill Goku.

The battle between the two fighters will mark the end of the year. The battle is set to air on December 18.
