Drake 'Nothing Was The Same' Release Date September 24, Tracklist Revealed / "King of Melancholy"
All right Drake fans, today is the day. The release date for his new studio album Nothing Was The Same is today, September 24!
The album leaked online days ago, but fans can now go online or to the nearest Target or Walmart and get the 15-song tracklist. Even though the record was leaked, hype for Dreezy's new tunes is through the roof. He's sold over 4.5 million records since 2010, according to Nielsen SoundScan and shows no signs of slowing down on Nothing Was The Same.
There are two copies of the new album that fans can purchase. There is the standard version with the 15-song tracklist and a deluxe version with extra songs.
Already fan favorites from the new album is "Started From the Bottom," "Hold On We're Going Home" and "All Me." Guest collaborations from Jay-Z appear on the album closer "Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2."
At the end of the day Nothing Was The Same is certainly a Drake rapper and cements him as the King of Melancholy and washed out beats and lyrics about failed romance and insecurities with fame.
Either way in a post-Summer almost-Fall hip-hop release frenzy Drake stands tall with Nothing Was The Same even compared to industry giants like Kanye West [Yeezus] and Jay-Z [Magna Carta Holy Grail].
