Drudge Report News: Report Claims Ted Cruz to Run for President in 2016
Ted Cruz, a Junior United States Senator who came from Texas, a member of the Republican Party and the first Latino or Cuban American to hold the office, is allegedly planning to run for the Presidency in 2016.
According to National Journal, sources who are close to Cruz say that he will make his announcement by the end of the year. Furthermore, he or she spilled that foreign policy will be Cruz's main focus. One of Cruz's advisers, which was reported as an anonymous person, added that he is 90/10 that he is in for the 2016 Presidential race.
According to Epoch Times, Cruz has already hinted to reporters in the past that he is eyeing the nation's top office; however, no formal confirmation was given by him. Cruz's actions are somewhat attributable to this alleged plan, such as pursuing visits to the primary and important states such as South Carolina, Iowa and New Hampshire. He also hired three prominent consultants a month ago, who specializes in extensive contracts and national campaigns.
However, according to Star-Telegram, Cruz posted on his Facebook that he and his wife, Heidi, have not yet finalized anything about political plans. He added that maybe a supporter was just making his freelance comments. He ended that the "anonymous adviser" has no authority to speak and does not know what he or she is talking about.
Aside from the rumor of Cruz's plan for a Presidential race, a report from Daily Caller said that Rand Paul, the Republican Senator from Kentucky, will also run for Presidency in 2016.
