'Duck Dynasty's' Phil Robertson Speech at the Concord Christian Academy Event Rescheduled 'We Want This to be Successful. We Want to Make It Well-known'
"Duck Dynasty's" Phil Robertson was expected to appear in New Hampshire this weekend as a guest of the Concord Christian Academy, however, the school revealed that his visit has been push back until September to increase ticket sales for the upcoming event. In addition, his eldest son Al is also expected to attend the future event in Concord.
The 67-year-old Robertson is well-known for expressing his Christian views anywhere and at any time.
"We're Bible-thumpers who just happened to end up on television," said Robertson told the GQ reporter in the January issue adding. "You put in your article that the Robertson family really believes strongly that if the human race loved each other and they loved God, we would just be better off."
This was the main reason Concord Christian Academy Headmaster Dean Whiteway selected Robertson to speak at the Capitol Center for the Arts and the academy.
"The criteria is that we want to get people who have been successful believers, Christians who have been successful in their area, people who have something wholesome and good to share with the community and our students," said Whiteway to Concord Monitor.
The event will also feature a Q&A session with Robertson and his son after Phil Robertson's much anticipated speech, has been rescheduled to take place on Sept. 20.
"We changed the date because neither we nor them were satisfied that we had enough lead time to promote it," said Whiteway to Concord Monitor adding. "We want this to be successful. We want to make it well-known."
