Duck Dynasty Season 4 Premiere Most Watched Non-Finctional Show in TV History

 

A&E's Duck Dynasty is a reality TV series that centers on the Robertson family. The Robertson's got fame off of their family-operated business, Duck Commander. Now exactly what is "Duck Commander"? Duck Commander is not only the name of the best-selling duck call, but a West Monroe, Louisiana company that produces them and other duck and deer (Buck Commander) hunting merchandise.

Star of Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson once a quarterback for Louisiana Tech is the founder of the company. Robertson's third son, Willie Robertson and co-star on Duck Dynasty who is now the CEO of the company and has expanded it into a multi-million dollar enterprise.

Now after that brief history lesson we can now get into the reality show, Duck Dynasty. The Robertson men Phil, Si, Jase, Willie, and Jep all wear the same long caveman beards. The reality series depicts a typical day in the life of their outdoor sporting-goods business.

The show had lots of doubters before its premiere. And why wouldn't it? The show is not your Tru TV's "HARDCORE PAWN"! Surprisingly "Duck Dynasty" grew 95% in viewership last season, averaging 8.4 million viewers. "Duck Bynasty" season 4 premiered August 14, 2013. The hour-long premiere  entitled "Till Duck Do Us Part.", drew in 11.8 million viewers, making the reality series the most watched nonfiction show in the history of cable television. It is also up 37% from the first show of the third season.
