'Duck Dynasty' Shirt "Threatening" to Virginia High-School and Asks Student to Go Home and Change

You'd think with the massive ratings of redneck reality series Duck Dynasty that everyone and their mother must love the show. Apparently the administration at a Virginia high school doesn't watch the show.

According to local news network WWBT-TV, Hunter Spain was forced to remove his shirt that had Duck Dynasty star Uncle Si Robertson on it with a caption that read: "I Will Hurt You Physically and Metaphysically."

According to Dinwiddie High School the shirt was "threatening."

I get it. We live in a post-Columbine paranoia where school administrators would rather be too safe than not safe enough. But c'mon y'all if you just watch the show you'd know Si wouldn't [couldn't] hurt a fly, physically or metaphysically.

Edna-Jo Spain, the student's mother was shocked that the school thought the shirt was dangerous.

"For this to be considered a threat to the school, I couldn't understand it," she told WWBT-TV.

Not wanting to look stupid in front of all the young ladies at his school, Hunter Spain decided to get a different shirt.

The school's administration tried to make sense of their anti-Duck Dynasty dress code.

"If you are a 'Duck Dynasty' fan you understand the meaning of the shirt," school superintendent, David Clark told WWBT. "But if you haven't watched 'Duck Dynasty' you may question if the shirt implies violence. As a school division, we would like to keep our slogans on student shirts as non-violent as possible.

Either way the Spain family are huge fans of the show and will going on the Duck Dynasty cruise next year.
