Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson and Fox News' Sean Hannity Both Allegedly Left $5K Tip; Who was it Really?

An online discussion is presently waging over an enormously generous tip left at a restaurant in Washington, D.C., where Willie Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" fame, television host Sean Hannity, and other politicians were dining on the night of the State of the Union address last month.

According to pictures posted on social media, Robertson and his wife, Korie, appeared at a dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in D.C. with Fox News host Hannity, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), radio talk show host Mark Levin, and ex- Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich with his wife Callista.

The high-profile diners allegedly racked up a large bill during their dinner, owing a $5,000 tab after they had finished their meal at 2 a.m., long after the restaurant had publicly closed. According to TMZ, Robertson, who is the CEO of the Robertson family's "Duck Commander" duck call business, paid the bill in full. In addition, he gave the two waiters serving the table a $5,000 tip, or 100%.

Even though TMZ is alleging Robertson was the one who paid the bill and left such a plentiful tip, TVNewser reported that a close source revealed it was really Hannity who picked up the bill and gave the generous tip.

"Hannity knows from service industry work: during college he worked as a dishwasher, bartender and short order cook," reported TVNewser.

The Robertson's were clearly a big celebrity attraction at the State of the Union address, as seen through photos posted by politicians and other attendees on social media. Over one dozen congressmen and senators posted pictures of them standing next to the reality show couple, including Rep. Steve Stockman, Rep. Martha Roby, Sen. David Vitter, Rep. Jeff Duncan, Rep. Steve Scalise, Rep. Thomas Massie, and Rep. Alan Nunnelee, to name a few.

The Robertson duo went to the 2014 State of the Union address as guests of Vance McAllister (R-Swartz) and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham. Hannity also posted a photo via Twitter of himself with the Robertson's and several other guests at their post-speech dinner with the words "Great time at dinner."
