Eminem and D12 Reunion: Producer Says 'New D12 Tracks' in the Works
The "Rap God" emcee, Eminem, is reported to have been working on new material for his old chart-topping "band" D12.
The news comes from a profile of Eminem's producer Mark Bass in the Detroit Free Press, in which he detailed the upcoming projects.
Bass, produced Eminem's hit singles "Without Me" and "Lose Yourself" among other songs and worked with D12. In the piece, Bass said, "He has also been mixing new material by the mercurial funk-pop giant Sly Stone with members of the original Family Stone band, along with new D12 tracks, including three with Eminem."
Dirty Dozen's last album, D12 World, was released in 2004. The group has been out of the limelight since the murder of group member Proof in 2006. The rapper was shot dead in an incident at a Detroit nightclub.
Since the murder, group members Bizzare and Mr. Porter have left the group as well.This left the group with Kuniva, Swifty McVay, Fuzz Scoota, and Eminem. Bizzare and Mr. Porter tour with Eminem and it is very possible the two will be a back with the rest of the crew.
Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 has sold 1,845,894 units. According to the Detroit rapper's site, vinyl copies of The Marshall Mathers LP 2 album appear to be selling great this week online.
The site claimed to haveonly about 500 copies availablejust a few days after the albums and related bundles were put up for sale.
