Eminem New Album 'MMLP2' / New Track "Rap God" Released / Song List / Due Out November 15
Eminem is a self-proclaimed rap god and he now has the track to prove it. Em just released the ninth song from his upcoming MMLP2 and it's actually called "Rap God".
The song isn't short on the disses and even resembles "Lose Yourself" a little bit.
The chorus from "Rap God"
"I'm beginning to feel like a Rap God, Rap God / All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod." Then Eminem moves to the bridge."Man, I thought this was supposed to be hip hop, hip hop / I'd rather be fishing in flip flops, flip flops."
At one point in the song, the 'Slim Shady' rapper compares himself to a former student who has now transformed into a teacher for the new wave of hip-hop. He cites influences like Leaders of the New School, and Busta Rhymes as the teachers before him.
Em takes the boasting to another level in the song's third verse where he asks why would someone want to be a king when they could be a god? Wonder if he clipped that from Kanye's verse in "No Church for the Wild" where Kanye poses a similar question: "What's king to a god?"
Here's the entire song list for Eminem's new album MMLP2. The record's release date is set for November 5.
