Fast and the Furious 7 Movie Cast Member Lucas Black Lands Role in NCIS Louisiana

The Fast and the Furious alumnus Lucas Black has landed a role in the new NCIS Louisiana spinoff as a series regular.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Black will play NCIS Special Agent Lasalle, a tough agent on the new series. Lasalle is a resident of New Orleans, where the spinoff takes place.

Black has also previously starred in the Friday Night Lights movie in 2004 as Mike Winchell. In addition, he also played as Jackie Robinson's friend and Brooklyn Dodgers teammate, Pee Wee Reese in last year's 42 film. Black is possibly best recognized for his role as Sean Boswell in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, the third film in the ongoing franchise. Though Tokyo Drift has been Black's only Fast credit thus far, the actor is set to appear in the future Fast & Furious 7.

The addition to this, CBS announced "Quantum Leap" and "Star Trek: Enterprise" star Scott Bakula will star in the lead role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two-part pilot episode will debut this spring and will focus on the NCIS New Orleans office and the agents that work there. Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon will work as executive producers in the new NCIS spinoff. C.C.H. Pounder and Zoe McLellan will also star in the new NCIS series.

The Fast and the Furious 7 film which stars the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Lucas Black will appear in theaters on April 10th 2015.
