'Fast and Furious 7' Movie Cast Starts Filming Nearly 6 Months After Paul Walker's Death

"Fast and Furious 7" is slated to resume shooting in April, almost five months after the tragic passing of actor Paul Walker.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, cameras will begin shooting once again on or near Apr. 1 in Atlanta, with the filming scheduled to last from six to eight weeks.

Last December, Universal Pictures confirmed that Walker will return in "Fast & Furious 7," which is expected to be to be released in theaters next year. Walker's iconic role as Brian O'Conner will seemingly retire and not be killed off.

The studio was forced to delay the movie's premiere date in order to complete a massive script rewrite in the wake of Walker's death in November 2013.

"Fast & Furious 7" was in production when Walker was killed in a car crash and over 60 percent of the film had already been shot.

After Walker's passing, Universal released a statement saying it is "our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise."

Meanwhile, "Brick Mansions," the last movie that Walker completed before his death, will arrive in theaters on April 25.

The latest film in "Fast and the Furious" franchise has an all-star cast that includes the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kurt Russell, Ludacris, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ronda Rousey and Lucas Black to name a few.

"Fast and the Furious 7" will appear in movie theaters on April 10th 2015.
