'FIFA 17' Review, News Update: Game Breaking A Huge Sales Record In UK

Following the PS4 price drop, FIFA 17 is now breaking a huge sales record in the UK.

UK retailers such as Asda, Sainsbury's, Argos, Morrisons, Tesco and a lot more have reduced their prices for the popular video game and console bundles, allowing more consumers to avail of the product.

According to reports, FIFA 17 has managed to score a victory over PES 2017 through its record-breaking sales. With its week one sales up by 18% over FIFA 16, the game has not only enjoyed the biggest launch week ever for any FIFA game; it has also beaten the previous record held by FIFA 13.

PES 2017 sold 3% fewer copies at retail than PES 2016 following its first week. Due to its popular demand, FIFA 17 has gone straight to the top of the all-format sales chart, where its fellow new release Forza Horizon 3 comes in second.

The number of discount deals and bundles for PS4 made available during the launch of FIFA 17 has helped a lot in boosting its sales. One example was Argos, which sold for only £149.99 500 GB PS4 with a copy of FIFA 17 and the choice of a second game out of Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky and Ratchet and Clank.

Other retailers also offered huge discounts, leading to higher demand and them eventually running out of stock.

The gaming experience that FIFA 17 offers to players sets the bar high for future games in the series. The game introduces updated physical interactions between attackers and defenders and contains a bold new career mode called "The Journey," which is part interactive movie, part FIFA action.

Despite interest from fans, FIFA 17 will not be available to Xbox 360 and PS3.
