New details on the release date and features of Square Enix's "Final Fantasy 14" have surfaced and as per reports, players are set to see the game next year.

Square Enix has revealed the release date for the upcoming "Final Fantasy 14" game, which is titled "Stormblood." The said expansion is set to be released in the summer of 2017, Polygon has learned. As per the publication, director Naoki Yoshida is set to unveil more details on the game set at two Fan Festival events, which are scheduled prior to the game's release.

According to the report, more game details will be released in Japan in December and another one in Germany in the early part of 2017.

In line with the game, Yoshida revealed that players would explore Ala Mhigo, which is also "Stromblood's" backdrop, PlayStation has learned. As per the publication, players are also set to face XIIth Legion Legatus Zenos yae Galvus and Ala Mhigo ruler, as one of the primary villains in the game. It is added that the antagonist is set to be "pretty intense."

As per Reddit user AngellicKarma, "Stormblood" is also set to introduce an expanded form of Exploration. According to the Redditor, the Forbidden Land Eureka is set to expand its whole area, which is something distinct in the expansion. Also, Notorious monsters may only appear once every 72 hours in the area, in addition to various high-end weapons.

In terms of specifications, Yoshida unveiled that players should upgrade to 6-bit operating system, if possible for the best gaming experience. However, the game is still supports the 32-bit variant.

Overall, Square Enix's "Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood" is assumed to come out in 2017.
