'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Release Date News: First Part To Be Launched In Early 2018

It has been a year since fans learned about Square Enix's "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," but its developer has remained secretive when it comes to details about its development.

The first time that the game was unveiled was at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event last year. Since the announcement, the developer has not shared any concrete detail about the project. According to reports, Square Enix has kept mum about its development so fans can focus on the upcoming game, "Final Fantasy 15."

Recent reports also suggest that the game developer wants to avoid building the hype for "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" since speculations and expectations from fans will only distract the development team.

Producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is intended to be more like "Final Fantasy 13" than an episodic series.

In his interview with Game Spot last April, Kitase said, "When the project was first announced, people were confused by its multi-part nature, but the goal is to structure it more like Final Fantasy XIII than an episodic series." He also noted that each part of the multi-part series is set to feature a full-scale game.

As for its storyline, there are speculations that the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will come out in three parts. The first part will reportedly be released sometime in 2018, while the second and third parts will come in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Since these are mere speculations and were not confirmed by Square Enix, fans should take them with a grain of salt.
