'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Date, Latest News Update: Game Refresh Set To Feature New Battles?
The video game developer behind "Final Fantasy" has some good news for fans who hope to see Cloud Strife and Barret Wallace again in another full-scale "Final Fantasy" game.
Square Enix Producer Yohinori Kitase revealed that the remake of "Final Fantasy VII" will be released sometime next year, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the game.
"Final Fantasy 13" will have three parts, each offering a full-scale gaming experience. According to Kitase, each of the three parts will give a different story in a different perspective.
The producer confirmed that players will meet again their beloved characters from the original "Final Fantasy 7" game, including Vincent Valentine, Cid Highwind, Tfa Lockheart and Aerith Gainsborough.
The trailer for the new game shows off improved visuals and teases some possible changes in its gameplay. Compared with its predecessor that was known for its turn-based style, the new game will be an action-oriented battle system.
According to game director Tetsuya Nomura, the action-oriented gameplay is the best for the remake so fans should expect "Final Fantasy 13" to feature battles that are totally different from the battles from the original game. However, the new game offers a special feature that will help players get used to the play style of the new game.
Currently, the developers behind the remake are busy with the various aspects of the new game. Hence, fans should wait a bit for Square Enix to announce its final release date. There are rumors that the video game developer will make the announcement on December 3 at the PSX 2016 in California.
