New details on the release date of Square Enix's "Final Fantasy 7" remake have surfaced and as per reports, the game is assumed to come out next year.

"Final Fantasy 7" might be released in 2017, as per Siliconera. According to the publication, 2017 serves as the game's 20th anniversary, which makes it logical to be released that year.

In a statement, as cited by the publication, game director Tetsuya Nomura also shared some details on the forthcoming game's development. According to Nomura, the upcoming game's battles have also changed greatly from the original. He said that they were proceeding toward an action-heavy style, which means players are set to experience the game in multiple combat.

Nomura also said that they had added systems that future fans would be able to enjoy, so people who were bad at action-style battles did not have to worry. As per the game director, they were working to make a system that was different that what player had used before and could still enjoy; this is specific for players who excelled at action-style battles.

"Recently, we checked the Guard Scorpion at the beginning of the game, and I think you'll be satisfied with the realism you'll feel there," Nomura said.

In contrary to 2017, "Final Fantasy 7" remake might also come out in 2018, as per Parent Herald. According to the publication, the game remake is set to be unveiled in three parts and the two other installments are slated to arrive in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Developed by Square Enix, "Final Fantasy 7" was initially released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, iOS, and Android in 1997.
