One of the main aspects of the FitBit Flex that has critics raving is the fact that the price undercuts its competitors by around $30. Also, the FitBit Flex syncs with both Android and iOS.

The hardware is as simple as it gets for a personal tracking device. The device is just a simple band that straps onto your wrist and does not get in the way of any of your activities. The battery life lasts between 5-7 days so you can almost forget that you're wearing it. When you reach your step goal, the LEDs dance around in celebration, which is much more exciting than plugging it into a computer to get your results.

The FitBit Flex's app is just as simple as the actual device. It gives you all of the relevant data in an easy to use, bland interface that isn't crowded with unnecessary animations.

At $100, the Flex isn't an impulse purchase considering its relatively niche appeal, but for those looking to pick up this particular type of lifestyle product, it's a solid choice. The social aspects of racking up Fuel points and Jawbone's more robust mobile app certainly have their appeal, but we'd say the Flex offers the most well-rounded experience, not to mention the best bang for your buck."
