Focus on the Family Presents 'Irreplaceable' Movie for One Night Only on May 6

Focus on the Family, Pine Creek Entertainment, and Mpower Pictures presents the documentary, Irreplaceable, in theaters May 6. It is a groundbreaking film which seeks to ask the important questions, "What is family?" and "Does traditional family still matter in today's society?"

Irreplaceable is the first in a series of feature-length documentaries that will tackle the idea of family from several of different angles.

Jim Delay president of Focus on the Family says the five million dollars project can begin to change the tide for family around the world.

"What is Family? Each one of us has a desire for significance-a desire to belong. And the family is where those deepest longings are fulfilled. When the family is weakened, society suffers. But strong families make the world a better place," is a statement from the movies site.

The film's host, (Tim Sisarich, Executive Director of Focus on the Family in New Zealand) sought out to find whether the saying, "If family fails, society fails" is true. On the journey they hope to disclose why all humans have a yearning to be in family.

"I've always believed in traditional family. Man and Woman marry, they have and raise children, they remain committed for a life time," we hear Sisarich state in the film's trailer. "But every day in the media, the life choices of my neighbors, even in public policy I seem to be told that I've got it wrong."

The film says statistics show that dads are no longer in their children's lives on a regular basis and out of wedlock child births have gone through the roof.

Focus on the Family wants their supporters to celebrate the family by attending the screening of Irreplaceable during its theatrical one night event on May 6. Irreplaceable will be digitally broadcast to 500+ movie theaters throughout the country.
