'Forza Horizon 3' Blizzard Mountain Update Arriving This December

The new Blizzard Mountain update for Forza Horizon 3 is coming this December.

Fans of the video game should start gearing up for snow and ice, as Microsoft has confirmed that the new update will arrive on Dec. 13. This new update is expected to bring along not only Blizzard Mountain itself, but also new cars and challenges.

Here is a description of the Blizzard Mountain update, according to Microsoft:

"Blizzard Mountain is a mountain paradise for car fans, full of adventurous terrain and challenging driving conditions. New areas like the extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake make this the ultimate snowy playground for players' favorite vehicles. In addition, players will find bonus boards to smash, beauty spots to enjoy, and a brand new hidden Barn Find vehicle."

The new update also offers 50 new challenges and events that fans should check out. These include new race types such as Descent, Blizzard and Hill Climb. Meanwhile, the new cars that will soon hit the racing game are the following:

  • 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4
  • 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B

  • 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck
  • 2016 Subaru # 199 WRX STI VT15 Rally Car

The release of the Blizzard Mountain update is part of Forza Horizon 3's $34.99 Expansion Pass. Those who already have the Ultimate Edition of the game may enjoy a $10 discount for the Expansion Pass, in that case costing only $24.99. The Expansion Pass is available for purchase at Microsoft.
