Galaxy Note 2 Vs IPhone 5: Which One Is Best For You?
If you are thinking about getting a new device at the moment it is possible that you may be choosing between the Apple iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Both handsets are great and you can get them all over the world. So which of the handsets is the right one for you?
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has Jelly Bean while the Apple iPhone 5 runs on iOS 6. Both come with pros and cons. iOS 6 tends to be more stable, plus it is the easiest OS to use. iOS handsets usually have superb resale value too when it comes to selling them on. The apps are more polished over at the App Store than what you can generally get at the Google Play Store. Play Store apps are often free but they come with ads and don't take on a polished look sometimes. This is due to developers needing to consider multiple Android devices.
Jelly Bean was a huge leap up and Android is always being updated. It is a little harder to learn, however it is well worth the effort. iOS however is very simple, but it is the most restrictive.
If you want customisation the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the winner as you can get many launchers, ROMs and widgets. You also don't need to sync with iTunes. iOS owners are able to freely change their wallpaper along with their ringtone and this is all with Apple iPhone 5. Having said this, Android handsets are generally slower when it comes to getting new updates, than what Apple is with their iPhones. This means that when the latest OS update comes out, the Apple iPhone 5 could get it in just weeks, however the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 might be left hanging around for months.
You may also wish to consider that the older device often get left out as well, this could mean that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 might not get updated past Jelly Bean. The Apple iPhone 5 however will get iOS 7, eventually.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is twice as fast as the Apple iPhone; this is down to the quad-cores which beats the dual cores, along with twice the amount of RAM. The battery is also larger, but then it needs it to power the big screen. Another bonus is that it comes with the S Pen. For design and class the iPhone 5 comes out on top thanks to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 taking on a plastic, at the side of it the Apple iPhone 5 looks a million dollars. Both the headsets are the coolest smartphones, which one is best you think?
