Samsung fans, today is the day you've been waiting for. The new Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch are expected to be released today in Berlin at the Samsung Unpacked Event, ahead of the major tech trade show IFA 2013.

In an interview last month with the Korea Times, Samsung executive Lee Young-Hee promised "enhanced key features" for the Galaxy Note 3, including a larger screen. According to several other rumors, the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display, 2.3GHz processor, 3GB RAM, and an octa-core Exynos chipset [depending on region]. The new Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to feature the newest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

As for the camera, Samsung is expected to match the Galaxy S4's 13-megapixel capabilities. The big rumor floating around is the Galaxy Note 3 camera's supposed 4K video shooting capabilities. The camera is also expected feature xenon flash.

Today's event could also debut the S Orb feature. Similar to Google's Photosphere, S Orb allows users to take pictures of everything around them and attach them together for a full 360 degree panorama.

Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Note 3 on stage at the Unpacked Event at 1 PM Eastern time.
