Galaxy Note 3 vs iPhone 5S Release Date Rumors: Both Scheduled for September Launch / Specs, Features Roundup
Let's face it the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the iPhone 5S are the two big releases coming up in the tech world. Both are set to launch some time in Fa;ll 2013 and both are sure to redefine their respective markets.
Let's break both phones down for what they're worth. I'm talking specs and features.
Samsung is already sending out the invitations to their Galaxy Note 3 launch event scheduled for September 4. As we've been reporting the Note 3 will either be unveiled sometime before or during IFA in Berlin, which runs September 6-11.
Based on last year's Samsung Unpacked Event, the company will unveil the phone days before the expose and really start pushing the phone a few days later.
As for the iPhone 5S, things get a little trickier. For being an "S" update, I can't remember a new iPhone that was kept so secret.
According to the latest note of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 5S will also be released in September. Of course to distinguish itself from Samsung, Apple is simultaneously releasing a cheaper version of the iPhone as well. Some say the low budget iPhone will be called the iPhone 5C.
Either way the specs and features rumors haven't changed a bit. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 display is still rumored to be around 5.5 inches and 6.3 inches with Full HD and Super AMOLED technologies. The processor is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S4, so probably somewhere around the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor territory. Obviously the new Note 3 will run on the latest operating system, which by the time its released will be the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS. Will it have a 13-megapixel camera to match?
Will Apple and the iPhone 5S move past the 4-inch screen to compete with the growing display market? Will it boost the 8-megapixel camera of the iPhone 5 to stay relevant with the recently released Galaxy S4?
