Galaxy S8 Release Date, Rumors: Leak Hints Next Smart Phone Trumping iPhone 7 Benchmarks?

In terms of benchmarks, the iPhone 7 showed the most impressive performance through its A10 Fusion chip with a score of 172644 for the iPhone 7 Plus and 170123 for the basic. But a new news report suggests that Galaxy S8 might just be better by a big margin.

According to the leak, there's a new gadget that's being tested in AnTuTu which already broke the 200K mark. In fact, the gadget scored 203737 across all benchmarks. The "200k barrier has been broken, and it's not FINAL ... someone wanna try to guess ??? ;) #antutu #Q12017."

BGR said that the scores could be referring to the Galaxy S8, although there's no news report that will confirm this. The new smart phone is expected to be launched early next year.

If this is true, the Galaxy S8 would be the best in its class in terms of speed and performance.

Meanwhile, in other Galaxy S8 news, Samsung is reportedly ditching the 3.5mm audio jack, just like what Apple is doing with its iPhone 7. Other rumors claimed that the smart phone is equipped to play 4K videos. It will also have a very powerful processor as well as expandable storage.

In terms of camera, the main snapper is reportedly going to be 30 megapixel while the front cam will be 9 MP. Its 4,200 mAh battery with quick charging tech is also sufficient to support all that power.
