Indie band Sigur Ros has joined the season 4 cast of popular HBO historical drama "Game of Thrones," according to new reports out this week.

It has not yet been made clear to what capacity Sigur Ros will be involved with the show, or whether their musical performance will be part of the show.

The band consists of three members, Job Birgisson, Georg Holm and Orri Pall Dyrason. And all three band members have been shooting with the show in Croatia, according to Entertainment weekly.

"Game of Thrones" has not yet announced if they will be using Sigur Ros in a musical or acting role.

In the past, the show has teamed up with bands for soundtrack music, including The National as well as The Hold Steady.

The National performed a song called "The Rains of Castamere," and The Hold Steady performed a song called "The Bear and Maiden Fair." Will Sigur Ros follow in the footsteps of The Nation and The Hold Steady and contribute to the soundtrack?

There is also a chance Sigor Ros will be brought on as guest actors, as there is a precedent for musicians playing guest roles on the show. In the past, "Game of Thrones" has had members of Snow Patrol and Coldplay guest star.
