'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Spoilers, Premiere Date: More Exciting Things In Store For Meera Reed And Bran Stark
Exciting things are in store for Bran Stark and Meera Reed in the penultimate season of "Game of Thrones."
Actress Ellie Kendrick, who plays Meera Reed in the popular HBO series, shared in her recent interview with MTV some interesting insights about her and Isaac Hempstead Wright's characters in season 7.
In "Game of Thrones," Bran is a young boy who is caught in the midst of a political war. He grew up to become a Green seer-- someone who is endowed with the gift to see past and future events.
"I love the storyline he has because he's this kid who's been forgotten, but he has these incredible powers to unleash. It makes me think of 'Stranger Things' a bit. He looks small and weak, and yet he's got this immense strength and capability of mind. That's going to be one of the most exciting things in the coming episodes because he can reveal all of the past and the future," said Kendrick.
The actress went on to reveal that Meera, Bran's protector, will remain supportive of the Green seer's mission to uncover all the secrets locked inside the weirwood trees.
"Meera's main job is the protector. She's not going to storm in there and tell everyone what to do. She's the bodyguard. She's the one who's got Bran's back, and she's making sure that he gets to the places he needs to get to. She sees this as her duty to carry out this mission for him. It's in her blood; the Reeds are fiercely loyal to the Starks, and she'll give everything that it takes to protect Bran," she said.
While Kendrick did not confirm where Bran and Meera are headed in the upcoming season, there are speculations that the two characters will head south to Winterfell because that is the only way Bran can have his visions.
"Game of Thrones" season 7 premieres in 2017 on HBO.
