'Gears Of War 4' News: Zero Bugs Release Date Arriving Soon?

The "Gears of War 4" is about to be released on Oct. 11, and while the news hype is reaching fever-pitch levels, the team at The Coalition is working silently to achieve "zero bug release."

In order to do that, the developer's testers spend enormous amount of time to make sure that the game plays as smoothly and as glitch-free as possible. When they do find a bug, the developer makes sure to address it and then go back to square one.

It's a tedious process, said "Gears of War 4" team head Rod Fergusson in a news article by Motherboard, but it's necessary nevertheless. But there's another purpose of these tests as well, and that's to find glitches that the developer will intentionally not solve.

Fergusson said that there's a method to the madness and something he learned from his mentor long ago, and that is "don't shake the jello."

"If your product is a jello mold and what you're trying to do is stop it from vibrating, every time you fix a bug you're more than likely to just create more bugs than the one you just fixed," he said. "At a certain point, to stabilize, you have to stop shaking the jello. You have to stop touching it."

In related news, Microsoft is offering $10 credit at the Xbox Store for those who will pre-order the "Gears of War 4" on PC and Xbox using Paypal.

The "Gears of War 4" arrives on shelves on Oct. 11. Watch out for more news regarding the highly anticipated game which will be published here when they become available.
